Social Media In Plain English
Social media is a marketing tool that most companies really don’t get. Many are completely unaware of social media. Others misuse social media and get burned when the transparency of the internet catches up with them. Very few get it and actually use it productively. And an extreme few are true masters of social media. In the hands of these people, literally anything is possible as was demonstrated by the Neistat brothers who changed the way Apple conducted business. Are the Neistat brothers geniuses? Absolutely not. They are astute students of modern marketing.
Social media is a powerful modern marketing concept. It engages your customers on a personal level and dramatically increases word of mouth marketing.
I ran across this video on YouTube that I thought did a remarkable job of explaining social media in easy to understand terms. After watching this, ask yourself these questions:
